The first Health and Wellbeing Census 2021/22 in local authority (LA) schools in Scotland, conducted between October 2021 and June 2022. In this data collection 16 of 32 LAs participated. The data made available through ADR S includes 15 LAs as one did not collect Scottish Candidate Number (SCN) and therefore could not be linked.
The census provides local and national information on children and young people’s health and wellbeing and the behaviours that affect wellbeing. It also allows local authorities to share its data with the Scottish Government to support the formulation and monitoring of national and local policies, which in turn will drive forward improvements in the outcomes of Scotland’s children and young people.
Demographic variables from the Pupil Census data can be requested and used with this dataset, and this may be required to define cohorts. For details search for Pupil Census metadata using the metadata search.
