| Documentation | NHS Lothian Regional Patients' data for visits to critical care (High Dependency or Intensive Care), as recorded in the Ward Watcher systems, at NHS Lothian hospitals: Royal Infirmary Edinburgh (RIE), Western General Hospital (WGH) or St John's Hospital at Howden. A limited extract of the regional database contributes to the Scottish Intensive Care Society Audit Group (SICSAG) database of patients admitted to adult general Intensive Care Units (ICU) in Scotland. Dataset include episodes, admission specialties, severity of illness (APACHE acute physiology), treatments (such as therapies, ACP, drugs, trials) and infections (Healthcare Associated Infections also known as Hospital Acquired Infections or nosocomial infections) and obstetrics. |
